How are you breathing?

We all breathe instinctively – it’s what keeps us alive.  But are you breathing as well as you could be?

Many people breathe through the mouth rather than through the nose.  This can cause all sorts of problems, including:

  • Stress, anxiety, and panic attacks
  • Sleep disorders
  • Breathlessness and/or snoring
  • Inhale pollution
  • More likely to catch airborne diseases
  • Jaw and teeth deformities
  • Weight gain

Nose breathers are more likely to:

  • Experience calm, maintain focus and deal better with stress
  • Have quality sleep
  • Enjoy slow, diaphragmatic breathing
  • Avoid nasty inhalants
  • Have good dental health
  • Digest more efficiently

Remember, your mouth is for eating, talking, drinking etc.  Not breathing – that’s for your nose!
